We don’t ask you for personal information unless we truly need it (we can’t stand services that ask you for things like your gender or income level for no apparent reason).

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address, browser user agent string etc. to help spam detection. For comments, we use a WordPress plugin and data is collected by it. We have no full control about plugin behavior other than the settings provided by it.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website. We are not responsible for this.

Contact forms

When visitors use contact form in order to be in touch with www.sancheya.com, we collect the data shown in the contact form, and also the visitor’s IP address, browser user agent string etc to help spam detection. Contact form is provided by a WordPress plugin and data is collected by it. Other than the settings provided by the plugin, we don’t have control on it.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Our purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how visitors use the website. In the future, we may use tools other than Google & Jetpack to get the analytics.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
